The College of Paramedics is pleased to announce Dahrlene Tough FCPara has been appointed Trustee Official for Clinical Development. The appointment follows a competitive selection process from a high standard of applicants.
The position is responsible for the College’s clinical developments and direction and will have accountability for all workstreams within the Clinical Development Directorate, including all continuing professional development (CPD) delivered by the College of Paramedics.
Speaking about the appointment, Dahrlene said,
“I’m absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to take on this new role with the College. With the continued growth of the College, it is important for us to build on the work that has already been achieved such as Independent Paramedic Prescribing and the Airway Consensus Statement. I look forward to engaging with our members and other key stakeholders to develop and drive forward the clinical quality agenda for the paramedic profession.”
Dahrlene is a consultant paramedic in urgent and primary care with the Scottish Ambulance Service and is already known to many in the College.
She will be taking up the position with immediate effect. Colin Crookston as Scottish alternate member has kindly agreed to take the Scottish trustee board position in the short term.
