Blood Test Interpretation
This half day course is aimed at primary care and urgent care practitioners who want to develop their knowledge of pathology results.
You will learn, what blood tests to request and when, and what the results might mean.
The course is delivered by an experienced GP.
Suitable for health professionals working in primary and urgent care who will be requesting and interpreting bloods in their role.
Ideal course if you are new to a primary/ urgent care advanced practice role or if you need a refresher.
We will cover the common blood tests requested in primary and urgent care:
- What bloods to request and when
- Full blood count (FBC)
- Urea and electrolytes (U+Es)
- Coagulation screen
- Thyroid function
- Diabetes tests
- common pitfalls
- and more…..
NB this course doesn’t cover the tests that are requested in Emergency Departments
