College of Paramedics CPD and AGM

Don’t miss this great opportunity to join the College’s Annual General Meeting and take part in two up-to-the-minute CPD sessions, all from the comfort of your own home.

Critical Care Paramedic Ben Watts MCPara presents:  A Paramedics guide to a Pandemic – Innovation, Adaptation and A Touch of Humanity.
A brief dive into some of the lessons learnt from the first few months of COVID-19. The incredible NHS, ambulance services, air ambulance charities and individuals on the road. Looking at some of the non- technical lessons learnt, as well as some of the fantastic ways some of the organisations and individuals have adapted to the unprecedented circumstances.

Dr John Martin FCPara, Chair of Board presents: The College of Paramedic’s AGM
This is your opportunity to contribute towards developing your professional body. You will hear from John, who will provide a roundup of activities from 2019 and the 2020 election results and our Treasurer who will present an update on the financial accounts for 2019. There will also be a reminder to cast your vote on two proposed changes, if you have not done so already. Being involved in your professional body in this way and participation in professional activities all contributes towards your CPD.

Professor Julia Williams FCPara presents:  COVID-19 Ambulance Response Assessment Study (CARA) – a Preliminary Analysis of the Results
How is COVID-19 affecting the paramedic and ambulance community?  CARA, led by the College of Paramedics, in collaboration with the National Ambulance Research Steering Group,  explores how paramedics and ambulance staff feel about their health and wellbeing and the activities being undertaken during this global pandemic.  Julia offers a first opportunity to find out what the study is starting to reveal.
