The College of Paramedics is the professional body for paramedics in the UK, leading the development of the profession across a wide range of health and care settings.  We aim to promote excellence in paramedic practice by offering and supporting professional development opportunities and lifelong learning wherever paramedics practise.

The College offers local and national CPD events, plus online CPD via its own CPD hub and the e-Learning for Healthcare Paramedics e-Learning project.  We host the Diploma in Primary and Urgent Care, a professional examination for paramedics working in this field.  We have developed a Post Registration Career Framework for paramedics, a Digital Career Framework showcasing the work of paramedics across the spectrum of professional activities and led the work of the The Interprofessional CPD and Lifelong Learning UK Working Group to produce the strategic statement Principles for Continuing Professional Development and Lifelong Learning in Health and Social Care. Commissioned by Health Education England, we have undertaken a ‘Future Workforce Mental Health & Wellbeing Project’ in response to the ongoing psychological risks facing the profession, particularly those working in ambulance services.

Professional development is what we do:  supporting individual paramedics and the profession as a whole to be the best we can be.  Follow the links to find out more.
