The College of Paramedics has, since the publication of the ‘People like us?’ report in 2017 been working to reduce the numbers of inappropriate paramedic self-referrals to the HCPC. It is well acknowledged that undergoing any referral to the regulator and experiencing a subsequent fitness to practise investigation can have a negative impact upon an individual’s mental health. The College of Paramedics is currently leading on some collaborative work with colleagues and stakeholder organisations on the subject of mental health and wellbeing. From this ongoing work, we are now pleased to release this co-badged self-referral guidance poster. Thank you to the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives, the Clinical Leaders Network, colleagues at Practitioner Health, Suzanne Rastrick (CAHPO) and Andrea James at Keystone Law for their support.

The poster is available for download as a pdf here.
