Safeguarding During Covid 19

07/04/2020

Paramedics and colleagues will be conscious of the additional challenges of safeguarding during the Covid 19 response, when many vulnerable persons are likely to be in isolation with those putting them at risk.

Safeguarding professionals are working hard to overcome the challenges of the reduction in face to face contact using remote consultation. More than ever, paramedics are encouraged to be on the alert for signs that a person is at risk and to report concerns using established local procedures.

The NHS safeguarding app is a useful reference tool and may be downloaded here. Members are also encouraged to follow NHS Safeguarding on Twitter @NHSsafeguarding for up to date information about what is happening around the country.

For further safeguarding discussion and information, and to contribute to future developments, College members can join the FutureNHS platform here. Please note you will need to submit an application to join the platform and await approval.
